Every Introvert knows that the obvious option is to take several books and head straight to the beach. Still, introverts aren't always wanting to visit a beach, so here are your next options:
1. Kyoto, Japan
Kyoto, Japan is going to be the hottest destination in 2017. It was formerly the imperial capital of Japan. Japan has a quieter culture which is wonderful news for all introverts. While you're in Kyoto, make sure you stop by at "Kinmata" for a traditional kaiseki meal. You can also view the breathtaking sites of the Sagano Bamboo Forest.
2. Zurich, Switzerland
The Swiss are known for being quite introverted, which makes Zurich a desirable destination for introverts. Zurich is known for being a finance hub but it actually has a burgeoning arts scene. While in Zurich, you simply MUST view one of Europe's best contemporary art collections at Kunsthaus museum.
3. Hanoi, Vietnam
Although Hanoi is quite populated, it offers a mix of both natural and man-made wonders to take in. There are several temples, lakes, and parks. It is a destination that will jog the imignation without overwhelming the senses. While in Hanoi, make sure to wake up early to get to the city's flower market and journey out to the Perfume Pagoda.
4. Copenhagen, Denmark
Copenhagen embraces coziness as a way of life which makes it a wonderful destination for introverts. The Ny Carlesberg Glytotek gallery is worth a visit and Illum for shopping, as well.
5. Reykjavik, Iceland
If visiting Iceland in the winter, you'll only get a few hours of daylight per day. Which, personally, I think makes this ideal for all introverts. Especially, for those of us who enjoy being cozied up with a good book and some wine. It's also safe for all solo travels and there are quite a few sights to see, as well. While in Reykjavik, make sure to stop by the Blue Lagoon.
Bhutan is not yet overrun with travelers as it's only been open to tourists for a few decades. In Bhutan, you'll be offered a rather antiquated and quiet experience of Bhutanese life. To visit Bhutan, you must book through a travel agency which will book you into an all inclusive trip for about $200 a day.
7. Ubud, Bali
Ubud, Bali was first made famous--especially for solo female travelers-- by Elizabeth Gilbert who wrote "Eat, Pray, Love". Ubud is safe, beautiful, and stimulating or as zen-like as you want it to be on any given day. While visiting in Ubud, make sure to stop by the monkey forest.
8. Helsinki, Finland
The finnnish are world-renowned introverts, so you'll be able to relax and enjoy this quiet and sophisticated culter. While in Helsinki, make sure to visit the Suomelinna-Sveaborg Fortress.
