I've always wanted the Clarisonic Mia 2 Cleansing brush. However, I've never wanted to spend that much money. I was browsing through Sephora the other day when I noticed that Clinique had released their own purifying cleansing brush set.
I. HAD. TO. HAVE. IT.
& here's why..
Clinique's Sonic Clean Skin Purifying Brush Set comes with the cleansing brush, a brush head, Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+, Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2, Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, and a travel bag.
I went into it having the highest expectations. Clinique's skincare line is one of the best lines, in my opinion. Therefore, I was expecting greatness. It did not disappoint. I noticed that if you have a cleanser with bursting beads, the brush will not work as well. You must use a lotion/gel cleanser for the brush to work at it's best.
At first, the Clinique Purifying Brush clears out all your pores. Which makes your skin worse before it makes it better. It took about four days to start to see the acne disappearing. I've been using the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap with it to see if it works well. It dries out the acne, but it works wonders on making it disappear.
The Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ does it's job, but it smelt, and had the texture of soap. It was hard for my skin to absorb it, but once it was absorbed, it definitely did it's job.
The Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2 has been, and always will be, my holy grail. I LOVE the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2. I swear by this. If you have acne, or dry skin, this is your savior. I cannot say explain how much of a difference this has made to my skin.
Overall, I think this was worth the $89(originally $99) I paid for it. If you are thinking about splurging on a cleansing brush, THIS IS THE ONE!!!
